  How to become a member?
Commercial activity without environmental degradation, in the world’s greatest opportunity for wealth generation and wealth preservation.

Environment Business Australia is a great organisation to belong to. We are active in many areas - none of which is more important at the moment than climate change which is increasingly acknowledged as the single biggest threat to our quality of life, productivity, and economy. EBA will continue to push for Australia to be at the forefront of action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for commercial as well as environmental reasons. We argue for carbon emissions trading because it is a key catalyst for smart and efficient technologies and management systems. The other areas we will concentrate on for the coming year are competition policy reform and the concept of a government 'enabling framework' to help fast-track industry's innovation. Land, water, sustainable cities, and environmental markets are other issues that are of course also high on our agenda.

Our activities and member services are extensive and we work closely with our member companies to get solutions into the marketplace. As well as policy recommendations we provide technical advice to government and industry and we stage high level conferences, numerous networking events, and provide a regular news and intelligence service.

We are a small organisation and we recognise that there are other bodies providing business services, the focus at EBA is on policy development, market shaping, and providing outstanding conferences and forums. We try to be a 'one stop shop' for our members for all issues regarding business and environmental sustainability.

Why do far-sighted companies join Environment Business Australia?

  • Because we have such a strong network of corporate members
  • Because we lead on important issues
  • Because we are influential champions for our industry and our members
  • Because our leadership on sustainability provides proactive companies with a framework and a network in which to operate
  • Because we insist that ideas don’t always have to be someone else’s.
And because we cover such a broad spectrum of issues such as:
  • Climate change
  • Clean energy sources and efficient energy use
  • Water management
  • Sustainable cities
  • Transportation
  • Land management, soil degradation, and food production
  • Pollution and waste avoidance
  • Recycling of materials and embodied energy
  • Air qualityClean technology financing
We must plan, design and create the future that we want. An ambitious task - will you help us?
